There are many organisations who are available to help young people when our safeguarding team is unavailable, including the ones below.


Kooth. The Kooth team provide free, safe and anonymous online support and counselling until 10pm. Their website has many helpful articles, personal experiences, tips for young people and friendly discussion boards. https://www.kooth.com/

Talk To Frank. Find out everything you need to know about drugs, their effects and the law. Talk to FRANK on 0300 123 6600 - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for facts, support and advice on drugs and alcohol.  https://www.talktofrank.com/

Childline. Childline helps anyone under 19 with any issue. Their trained counsellors will support you. Childline is free, confidential and open 24/7. You can talk to them by calling 0800 1111 or chat to them online. https://www.childline.org.uk/

Shout/Crisis Text Line. Confidential 24/7 text service, free on all major mobile networks, for anyone in crisis anytime.  It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and you need immediate help. Text SHOUT to 85258.  https://giveusashout.org/ or https://www.crisistextline.uk/   

Kidscape. Their vision is for all children to grow up in a world free from bullying and harm, with adults who keep them safe and help them to reach their full potential. Call 0207 7303 300. https://www.kidscape.org.uk/

Family Lives. An organisation to support families with a wide range of issues including bullying, peer pressure, alcohol, learning, relationships, etc. Includes an online chat. Call: 0808 800 2222 or Email: askus@familylives.org.uk. https://www.familylives.org.uk/

CEOP Education. A UK organisation which protects children both online and offline. This website provides useful guidance and support on issues such as E-Safety, sexting (Sexual Online Abuse), sexual exploitation, domestic violence, sexuality, relationships, online friendships, online grooming, posting self-images online, online gambling and youth mental health issues. https://www.ceopeducation.co.uk/

Are you worried about online sexual abuse or the way someone has been communicating with you online? Make a report to one of CEOP's Child Protection Advisors. https://www.ceop.police.uk/Safety-Centre/

Young Minds. This organisation makes sure all young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life's challenges. Offers support services to Parents & Carers who are concerned about a child too. https://youngminds.org.uk/

The Waiting Room. The waiting room is an online resource library of information and support that can be navigated with minimum difficulty. https://the-waitingroom.org/

LGBT Foundation. This organisation provides information on sexuality issues (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Call the LGBT Foundation on 0345 3 30 30 30, Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm. https://lgbt.foundation/

Birmingham Mind. A Mental Health organisation for children and adults.
Includes Talking Space for adults (18+). A safe, welcoming place where people can go outside of normal working hours, instead of A&E or other urgent services, if they are feeling emotionally distressed or are in a mental health crisis.
