Our Open Evening is on the Thursday 7th October. We have put in place a number of safety measures this year to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus:

What will happen on the Evening?

We will be operating a booking system so we can manage the number of families on the school site. Please use the booking system below to reserve your spaces. You must bring with you confirmation of your booking (printed or on a mobile device), please arrive 5 minutes before your booking time. Where possible please limit the size of your family group on this tour, this so that we can include as many families as possible in our Open Evening. The booking system will allow you to book for 5 people, but where possible please aim for a group of 3 or less.

The tour of the school will be approximately 30 to 40 minutes and will be less interactive than normal. However, this tour will still give you the opportunity to meet pupil and staff and see our school.

There will not be a presentation in the hall this year. This is to avoid having large numbers of people gathered together and to also increase our capacity to have as many families on our school tour as possible. The Headteacher’s speech will be available on our website from the 7th October.

At the end of the tour, families who have additional questions about SEND and other areas of school life will be directed to the School Hall to talk to our team of staff.

Masks

We recommend visitors who are not exempt and able to wear a mask do so throughout the evening. Staff and pupils who are able to, will also wear masks. This is another safety measure as it is likely we will have large numbers of visitors throughout the evening.

Testing

We recommend that families who have access to home testing (lateral flow tests) take a Covid test before they visit our school site. Although we will not require proof of testing, we would appreciate as many families as possible testing at home before they visit us.

Hand Sanitiser

We will provide sanitiser stations throughout the tour. However where possible we recommend families bring their own sanitiser.
